Dr. John Goebel
“Doctor after doctor told me it was hopeless.,” says Dr. Goebel. “I was seriously injured in a water skiing accident in my teens. It left me partially paralyzed and bed-ridden in a plaster body cast. The neurosurgeon did not expect me to regain the feeling in my legs for at least five years, if at all. My father, Dr. Harold J. Goebel, began treating me with chiropractic care. After only one year under his care, 85% of the sensation returned and I had full use of my legs.”
I’m a Third Generation Chiropractic Physician
“Even though my father and grandfather were both chiropractors, I was always interested in a career in medicine,” Dr. Goebel continues. ” I was not certain of my career path, however, until my recovery from that injury. I saw first hand what chiropractic care could accomplish, and I became convinced a career in chiropractic was to be my destiny as well. Now, I’m a third generation chiropractic physician.”
After completing his undergraduate studies at Ball State University, Dr. Goebel attended the National College of Chiropractic, presently known as the National University of Health Sciences, where he earned a Bachelors of Science and graduated in 1985 with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
Outside of the Office
Dr. Goebel enjoy all types of sports including water (yes, even after the accident), snow, football, and basketball, etc. He and his son, Brayton, are rabid Colts fans.
I’m also a huge fan of Fresh Fiber First (ask me about it), along with daily exercise to include speed walking, yoga, light weight lifting.

Kelly Goebel, BS, FNS, GEI
Kelly is our Fitness Nutrition Specialist. Some of her favorite times are with her two girls singing songs in the car with the music cranked and laughing before bedtime! She is a graduate of Saint Francis University in the field of Health and Exercise Science. Whether it is Corrective Exercise, Fitness Nutrition, or group exercise instruction, Kelly understands taking control of your health can be overwhelming.
